Volunteer With Us

Volunteer with friends and family!

Volunteers play an integral part in accomplishing our mission at Olympic Coast National Marine Sanctuary. Taking an active role caring for the environment is easy and there are opportunities for people of all ages.

Get involved! Join hundreds of volunteers in removing harmful marine debris from our coast at Washington Coast Cleanup.

Help scientists! Collect data as a citizen scientist for COASST.

Spread the word! Become a trained volunteer docent and conduct outreach at Olympic Coast Discovery Center.

Olympic Coast Discovery Center Volunteers
Do you love the ocean and learning more about our local marine environment and cultural heritage? Do you enjoy meeting new people and sharing information about our home on the Olympic Peninsula? If so, NOAA's Olympic Coast Discovery Center is the place for you! Come join the fun and sign up to be a volunteer docent with us!

The Olympic Coast Discovery Center is open daily 10:00am-5:00pm between Memorial Day and Labor Day weekends, and weekends only in the fall. Docents typically contribute between 2-4 hours per week.

Training is free, but registration is required. For registration or for more information email Karlyn.Langjahr@noaa.gov or call 360-406-2092.

Hours that you spend working to improve the marine habitats, understanding trends in marine wildlife and sharing knowledge with others show your generosity to future generations.

Meet some of Olympic Coast National Marine Sanctuary Volunteers.
