Video tapes were reviewed making note of primary and secondary substrate types, along with certain biological notations when deemed important. Time stamp was noted on the video tapes at each substrate transition and assumed to remain constant until the next transition in sediment type was encountered. Substrate type was entered into an Excel spreadsheet format where timestamp was used to correlate sediment with the positional information. Using time code to target individual frames, Final Cut Pro was used to extract still frames from the video and export as jpg files.
