Management Plan Review (MPR) is a public process that is greatly enhanced
by the ideas and comments of all interested and knowledgeable people.
MPR will be conducted in phases over the next several years. Public input and ideas will be sought
throughout the process, including during:
- public scoping or "brainstorming" meetings at the start of MPR,
as well as throughout the 60-day public scoping period.
- Advisory Council issue prioritization workshop in January 2009. Read the
Advisory Council's recommendations (800k pdf) to the Sanctuary Superintendent.
- topical working groups and workshops to explore priority topics throughout 2009
- development of the draft management plan itself
As the Management Plan Review process gets underway, we will
regularly update our
website with meeting announcements and current documents.
We hope that you will consider attending public meetings and workshops, and providing comments on
draft management plan documents. To stay up-to-date, check the website regularly and join our contact
