May 18 - 4th Annual Ocean & River Resources Fair & Potluck Barbecue
(4:00 pm to 9:00 pm)
Location: Olympic Natural Resources Center, Forks, WA
Details: The 4th Annual Ocean & River Resources Fair & Potluck Barbecue in Forks is sponsored by the North Pacific Coast Marine Resources Committee (NPC MRC). This is an open-to-the public event to showcase local natural resources organizations and efforts. There will be student & professional movies and formal presentations in the Hemlock Forest Room, display booths and student poster displays along the covered hallways, volleyball on the lawn, with music and food in the Social Hall.For more information go to http://wdfw.wa.gov/about/volunteer/mrc/county_northpacific.html.

New $12 million marine center envisioned for Port Angeles
Peninsula Daily News - by Arwyn Rice
Some time in the next five years, an "iconic" 27,902- square-foot, $12.6 million marine life education and research building could rise in downtown Port Angeles to anchor the new waterfront area, according to those who hope to see the change.The Feiro Marine Life Center, the Olympic Coast National Marine Sanctuary and the city have released a feasibility study for a shared facility.
