Teacher Training

Our commitment to teachers is to advance their professional development by providing up-to-date and accurate science materials, the latest information from Olympic Coast research, and the skills to teach students the tools of science.

Fourth and Fifth Grade Teachers Professional Development Workshop on Ocean Science

July 28-31, 2008
Seattle Aquarium, Seattle, WA

August 4-7, 2008
Olympic Natural Resource Center, Forks, WA

This summer's Ocean Science Professional Development Workshop is for 4th and 5th grade teachers in the Puget Sound and Olympic Peninsula areas. Participants will engage in activities that support inquiry-based, experiential learning in the classroom and at the beach.

Join marine science experts and teacher colleagues as you learn about ocean science through your own investigations. Participants in this course will be eligible for free admission to the Seattle Aquarium, and a field trip to a local beach, including free transportation for your class.
