Protecting Olympic Coast National Marine Sanctuary is a big job involving the commitment and talents of a wide range of people. Our staff is headquartered in Port Angeles, Washington, close to other agencies and essential services.
Beside a dedicated professional staff, the Sanctuary benefits from the support of an Advisory Council. Composed of dedicated volunteers who represent various interest groups as well as state, federal, tribal and local government organizations, the Advisory Council provides advice to sanctuary staff on important policy issues. We also receive expert advice from various working groups, and subcommittees. Volunteers are welcome to participate in Sanctuary work projects, which may last anywhere from a one-day beach clean-up to year-round citizen science monitoring; check on our volunteer opportunities to see how your interests and expertise might line up with our current needs.
You can contact us by email, correspondence or phone. Check out our most recent Sanctuary News and Calendar of Events. Feel free to print out our Sanctuary Fact Sheet (available in printable html and pdf formats). In the event of an emergency, please refer to the contact information provided.
And of course, our web policy, including privacy and accessibility statements is just a mouse click away.
